Art…Culture…The Inner West!

ABOUT NEWTOWN

Colourful and unconventional, Newtown has inner-city attractions that range from restaurants and bars, to theatres and clubs. Specialist shops include vintage fashion and music stores, bookshops, antique stores, hairdressing salons and homeware shops.

More than 100 restaurants and cafes offering a range of ethnic cuisines can be found along King Street and nearby Enmore and Erskineville. Quirky and cool, shopping in Enmore Road and south King Street offer buttons, beads, tiles, tribal gifts, gothic garments and second-hand furniture. Check out the heritage cemetery at St Stephen’s Anglican Church before heading off to an avant-garde performance at Newtown Theatre or the best musicians and comedians at Enmore Theatre.

ABOUT ERSKINEVILLE

The ultimate Inner-West village with an array of traditional country pubs, expect mixed culture and a jumble of bohemian haunts. Erskineville Oval is home for sport and families. You are easily accessible from the city centre. Friendly faces and a tight-knit community live here.

ABOUT ALEXANDRIA

Known as an affordable industrial/residential enclave on the edge of the city, it’s close to the city with neighbourhood ambience. There are wide leafy streets, cul-de-sacs, and some of the best cafés in Sydney around Danks Street. Open green space, sporting grounds – it always seems to be changing. Strong community of young families, students and young professionals.

ABOUT CAMPERDOWN

It’s the university and hospital hub, minutes from Broadway, seconds from Newtown. Victorian and Edwardian architecture begin to spill into open streets as they widen away from the city. There’s an ever-evolving culture and plenty of eclectic neighbours. The adjoining suburbs all have a bohemia or foodie identity.
